'One Lovely Blog Award'

One Lovely Blog Award
I was nominated by Paula Martin for the 'One Lovely Blog Award'.

The award recognizes bloggers who share their story or thoughts in a “lovely” manner, giving them recognition and helping them reach more viewers. In order to “accept” the award the nominated blogger must follow several guidelines.

The Rules for accepting the Award(s):

1. Thank and link back to the awesome person who nominated you.
2. Add the One Lovely Blog Award logo to your post and/or blog.
3. Share 7 things about yourself.
4. Nominate up to 15 other bloggers and comment on their blogs to let them know.

So, first, thank you Paula Martin for this lovely compliment and opportunity. Here's her blog which I'm sure you'll enjoy http://paulamartinpotpourri.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/one-lovely-blog-award.html

Seven things about me:

1 - I am a cat lover, and until a few years ago never lived without one in the family.

2 - I am a Scot, but have lived in England for many years now.

3 - One year, when a child and the Loch was frozen over and the was a curling match going on, my siblings and I skated across to the castle where Mary, Queen of Scots, was imprisoned

4 - I'm a lover of wide open spaces and live near the sea.

5 - I garden to relax. This year I redesigned several areas, which included a small stretch of drywall construction.

6 - I'm an avid reader, and - especially in the winter - will often curl up for the day and read for hours on end.

7 - I would love to travel.

Now I nominate these friends for the Award:-

Congratulations on the Lovely Award! I'm a big cat lover, too. :)

:-) Thanks for coming by Chris. I miss my cats, but now we have a garden full of wild birds that all seem to think they are dogs and follow us around from one part of the garden to another!

Hi Sherry,

I'm not a cat lover I'm afraid, although I share your keen interest in the wild birds which thrive in the lane behind our place.

I have also always wanted to live near the coast, although where we are now, we are only a couple of hours maximum away from the South coast and Devon, with the journey to Cornwall doable in about 3 hours!

What a lovely award to win, thanks for sharing such an interesting post.

Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year.

Yvonne
