The Friday 56 and Book Beginnings on Friday ~ A Husband For Danna
A Husband For Danna by Christina Lorenzen
If you are looking for a feel-good-factor rom-com then Christina Lorenzen's A Husband For Danna fits the bill. It's a very 'visually and well written 'fun' book, and I felt I was 'there' most of the time, and loved the descriptions of small-town America settings.

Book Beginning...
Panting from the short dash from the church to the curb, Danna looked around wild-eyed, spotting a limo at the curb. The fact that it wasn't her bridal party's limousine didn't matter. She ran around to the driver's side and flung open the door.
pg 56...
Unlike her intended husband, Eric's nose couldn't have been more perfect if it had been special-ordered. Where Nagpal's cheekbones hid beneath fleshy cheeks, Eric's were prominent. Though she had taken back the pretty boy label, she still thought he had to be a model.

This sounds like a really fun and lovely book, but I really like how the author isn't avoiding the cultural background and Danna's struggle with her family! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have an amazing weekend!

This sounds really cute. It's been too long since I've read a romance. Click on my name for my Beginning and 56.
I'm intrigued! I love the kind of forced together situation. It always makes for fun reading.
That's a great beginning -- right in the middle of the action. Sounds like a fun, light-hearted book that I'd enjoy.

I like the attention to detail the author makes, it's almost as if you could see every aspect of what she is trying to convey :) Great feature!
Every once in a while it's good to indulge in a purely fun read. Happy weekend!

You're quite right Juli, Her characters are themselves first but the issues are cleverly woven in too.

I really like your Friday 56. The way a man's nose is shaped is really important to me. Nothing like a "fine" nose.:)
