Tuesday Tales Holiday Blog Hop

Today and over the weekend authors from the Tuesday's Tales group are holding a simple Thank-you Holiday Blog Hop from the 27th - 29th December.

Each participating author is offering a prize on their own blog, so there's still time to add to your pile of Christmas gifts. There are lots up for grabs.

Giveaway
I am offering nine separate prizes. A single pdf copy  of every book I've had published.
To be in with a chance of winning a prize please tell me what you are thankful for, and please remember to include your email address to be added to the winner's list.

As this, is by way of a 'thank you' to everyone who participates, whether as group members or visitors, without you we wouldn't have the wonderful opportunity to share some of our writing with you all.

So... I'm going to start by thanking Jean Joachim, founder of the Tuesday's Tales group for all the behind the scenes work she puts into making it happen every week. And for the wonderful promotional pictures she provides. Jean is a prolific award-winning writer of romance stories in more than one genre. But most of all I want to thank her for her friendship, - a gift beyond price.

Tuesday's Tales is, deliberately, a small group of authors, and thereby is the core of the strong bond of friendship between members. The support for one another whether in times of stress or celebration is a force to be reckoned with. We may not 'talk' to each other for weeks or longer, but are 'there' when needed, and delighted to be able to share in celebrations.

I count each and every member of Tuesday's Tales as a friend, and they enrich my life's journey by their presence.

And then there are the books... Tuesday's Tales has in many cases been the starting point for several now published, and in many cases, best-selling books. For example

Jean Joachim 4 that I can remember! lol. Champagne for Christmas, Rescue my Heart, the Marriage List, If I loved You (which led to a 7 book series), Some were tested out, begun in TT but had been conceived of before then. Oops! 5 - left out The Dating List.

Vicki Locey All I Want for Christmas is a direct result of a TT picture prompt. Laco Law is largely influenced by the weekly word prompts as well as the comments I`ve gotten.

Davee Jones Author Sexy Bea Spelling! I started it for TT and wrote many entries. I just returned the contract and it is scheduled for release in February!

Lindsay Downs Ice Queen, Red Queen, White Queen, Rodeo Queen, To Love a Lady,Saved by the Maid are released or will be released.

Iris Blobel Innocent Tears and New Beginnings I believe - and I think More Beginnings as well.

Sarah Cass Deep Fried Sweethearts is my first TT-turned novel to actually make it to e-print! Eve's New Year was written first, but will be published later.

Kathleen Tighe Ball who writes as Kathleen Ball is a prolific writer of Western Romance, as you can tell from thes list. ~ Winter's Embrace, Summer's Desire, Autumn's Hope, Alice's Story, Spring's Delight

For me, I have four books that all owe Tuesday Tales for their 'birth'. His Chosen Bride, (Book two in the Gasquet Princes) Vidal's Honor, (A Christmas Regency) Honor's Dilemma, (A prequel to Vidal's Honor) and Name The Day, my current Christmas contemporary romance.

To name just a few. There are several other wonderful authors who have also had their TT stories published.

And when you think of it, that is some accolade to Jean Joachim for providing a secure, friendly and secure base for a mixed group of authors to share their writing, and their books from.

So just in case you missed the theme of this blog, I'll say it again... THANK YOU to everyone, authors and readers, who are part of Tuesdays Tales.

Before I finish I'd like to share a poem that can be found almost anywhere online, but is one I came many, many years ago and cherish...

When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty;
to provide you with guidance and support;
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend, and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being a part of my life,
whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

Best wishes for health, wealth, and happiness to your all in 2014.

A-Z Challenge Day 18 - R

R is for Reason and...

We all experience dark moments in our lives, and it was during such a patch in my life that I came across this 'poem' below.
Now, it has become something I keep on me always when I am in need of regaining my prespective on life.

A Reason, A Season, or A Lifetime?

People always come into your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime.
When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, or to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are. They are there for a reason, you need them to be.
Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die, Sometimes they just walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilleed; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.
They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season. And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends.

LIFETIME, relationships teach you a lifetime of lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being part of my life.....

There are around 1700 participants this year and you'll find a list HERE
