This week's snippet is from my first Regency novel,
No Job For a Woman
(now available online for the special price of $2.99)
“I’m saying no more than it’s a possibility,” Julian said. “Tomorrow
is Sunday; are you going to church as normal?
When Freddie nodded Julian let out a sigh of satisfaction. “What say
we go over and spend the day at Stavely Manor?”
“If I came too, I could stay with Deb while the two of you make
discreet enquiries,” Henrietta offered.
“If it would not tire you too much, I’m sure Deborah would enjoy
your company.”
“It wouldn’t work.” Julian’s contemplative tone drew Freddie’s
attention from his wife.

Darn it, Sherry! I had my afternoon all planned out productively, and now I have to go buy your book because I'm hooked and I have to go find out what Julian thinks won't work.
(thank you :) )
Like Sarah, I want to know what won't work.
Interesting snippet, Sherry. I wonder what won't work. :)
This looks like a lovely read. I'm looking forward to next week's snippet.
Good snippet. Now I want to know what won't work and why.
I wonder why it wouldn't work. I think Julian knows something we don't know.
Will it really not work or is Julian just being a wet blanket?
