Before You I Stand

Before you
I stand
Proud
and
Tall
divesting each garment
individually
Scattered
on a green floor
carelessly abandoned
as you
watch
With each breath
I
bare
my
limbs

I shiver
in anticipation
of the cool breeze
that whispers
over me
You hear me sigh
in expectation
of your touch
Your smile
lights up your face
as dusk falls

Stars twinkle above
An owl hoots
desolately
as darkness
descends

You watch me still
as velvet night
covers my nudity
the warmth of glowing embers
plays on your tender
skin

While beyond the glass
cold winds blow
my final
leaf
to the waiting
ground.
