Thank you to everyone who made my first visit so enjoyable. This weeks 'six' follows on from last week's.

“I never discovered how you managed to evade the executors of the will after Lord Kinsale‟s death,” Arthur lied.
“When they couldn’t trace you, they got in touch with Cadmore.
Apparently, he managed to convince them of the legitimacy of his claim, and he moved from London to live at the Hall for the next five years.”
“Why only five years?” Rafe asked, while trying to convince himself nothing more than idle curiosity prompted his question.
“He died in a turf-war shooting.”

sounds like there's more trouble ahead!
Yikes, good thing Rafe evaded them! That pic looks so serene, but from your setup, it's anything but! Nice six.
I'm glad he got away! Really good writing!
A turf war on an estate, great setup. Can't wait to see what comes next.
Uh-oh..turf war! Love it xx fab six
That was a real pleasure to read. Thank you so much, a great six to post.
More than idle curiosity (can't spell) that says much also. Nice
Oops, that was close! Great snippet.
Sounds like trouble. Great six!
Nice set up. Makes one wonder what will happen next.

Now, 'died in a turf-war shooting', 'legitimacy', and 'estates' are things you don't normally see together.
Intriguing.
Cool six! Nicely done!
So much deceit in such a tiny package!
Sounds like a set-up to me. Will Rafe be the next to suffer the same fate as Cadmore?
Ow! Something is going on here...
Great six!

Interesting premise here!
The picture is so serene, but something big seems to be going on. Intriguing.
