Thank you to everyone who visited last week and to those who left comments. Your thoughts are always appreciated.
For today's Sunday Snippet I'm continuing where I left off two weeks ago, a little ways into the beginning of a new WIP (working title Horseshoe 1) ** Sorry I missed last week.**
Again I don't have names for my characters at this stage hence the 'he' and 'she.'
This week I have joined the Weekend Writing Warriors again.
“Freemont? Ashworthy? There is no… what do you call it? real estate
agency in town, because there is no town within a hundred mile radius of this
property. Indeed there is no town on
this part of my kingdom, so you see you are not only an intruder, but a liar, too.”
His voice rang with an undisputable authority that
almost fooled her. Whatever he was on,
the man was flying in delusions of grandeur.
“Real estate agency is the equivalent of the
English estate agent,” she began.
“I know not what you are talking about, nor do I
know of these people and places you mention. I am expecting guests for the
weekend and see no evidence of any preparations for their arrival and comfort.
I sent word with my agent—“ he offered her an evil grin of satisfaction, then
continued. “My agent, unlike yours is known to me and has worked for my family
as did his father and grandfather before him. I am not interested in your
mythical agents. Be gone.”
That's it for this week, :-) Thanks for coming by and you'll find lots more free-read snippets at Snippet Sunday and Weekend Writing Warriors

Well, there's a man who knows his own mind! Love the dialogue!
Nice snappy tension in this scene. I'm really curious to read more. Sounds like you got a great start on that WIP, Sherry!
I love the flying in delusions of grandeur line. It reveals so much about both characters. Great snippet.
My question is, did he time travel or did she?
Can't wait to find out!
One of these things is not like the other, one is kind of the same...one of them is not going to be happy when he or she finds out the real time! Nice exposition of two strong characters.
Time travel! Great snippet. How's time is it?
Intriguing, love the dialog, I could go on listening to these two for a long time! Great snippet!
LOL Gemma, I love his 'attitude' too.
Thanks Violet, I'm enjoying these two.
:-) Thanks for your kind words, Jess.
And isn't that a great question, Sarah W? I never thought to wonder, but had it fixed in my mind. I wonder if... :-)
Very true Sharon :-)
:-) Kate, thanks for coming by. Sarah W has got me thinking about that. Until now I thought I knew.
:-) Thanks Veronica.
He's a bit of a bully, eh? She cannot get a word in edgewise!
Doesn't he know hell hath no fury like a woman kicked out of her home? Man, he's asking for it. Good snippet, Sherry. :)
Hmm. Where are we? Very amusing and clever. Good eight.
Love the banter. And the 'be gone." statement-- Heads will surely fall. lol
There is plenty of tension in your 8. I am interested and would love to read more.
You got across well that these two have definite communication problems. "He" seems a bit confused about it all.

He's great! Though I agree, someone is in for an awakening of major porportions. Tweeted.
Wonderful writing, Sherry! It was an odd mixture of teasing and tension. I loved this:
" I am not interested in your mythical agents. Be gone.”
Haha! Good 8!
I adore time travel to pieces, so I'm excited about where this might go. Great job sucking me in!
I love their mutual confusion not knowing they are confused.
Okay, who's the time traveler? I loved this excerpt.
LOL Monica, he does seem like that doesn't he? Thanks for coming by.
I think he's about to find out Siobhan :-)
Charmaine, this story started in an FB writing group (Tuesdays Tales) where we write to a prompt, and it was a picture prompt of snow capped mountains, so I think it's going to be a 'little-known' European country.
LOL Karen, I kinda had a chuckle when that came out, too.
:-) Thanks Elaine Smith. I'm glad you enjoyed this.
Thanks Kate. I'm way behind this week, but am still hopeful of getting round as many posts as possible. Thanks for coming by.
LOL Ella, I predict many sparks between these two before they are done with each other.
:-) Thanks for your kind words Teresa. I'm so behind this week but hope to visit as many SS & WWW folk as possible.
Vivien, this is my first venture into time travel and wasn't intended, so not sure how it'll all turn out. I anticipate some interesting times ahead for the lot of us. :-)
Ryan, thanks for coming by :-)
LOL Elaine C, I'm not telling,:-) but thanks for coming by.
