Simeon's Story follows on from last week (working title) that will be book three or four
in my Gasquet Princes series.
In this scene Simeon has met a
woman, who's dualing skills match his own.
The skill she’d displayed so far discounted any hope she’d charge at his manhood. No, she’d not risk leaving herself open to the obvious retaliation such a charge would engender.
He circled, watching her back foot, weighing his options, always maintaining the straight line between them.

Ah, a woman with good (and skilled) fight in her. Very intriguing. Great hook.
Interesting characters in an interesting situation. Nice hook!
His intensity really comes across, as does his assessment of her skills and her moves. I love that she is so talented with the sword and want to know how she got to be that way and what happens between them once the fight is over.
Great hook...I'm intrigued!

well written hook
This is a terribly edgy situaton. I fenced all through my youth and there's real potential for one of the other to be very badly hurt if they aren't wearing the proper gear. I'm definitely hooked.
Great action scene and hook!
What an interesting hook!
Ooh, who makes the first move I wonder! Great hook, thanks for sharing.
