A-Z Challenge Day 23 - X

X is for

Xeranthemum Reviewer

Today, as we reach the final few letters in the A-Z Challenge I am sharing a link with you of one of the best and most dedicated and skillful reviewers I know.

No - I have not received a review for her, but I am a member of the same review group.

As a writer, I have been exceptionally fortunate to receive some awesome reviews.  Yes even some of the two, and three rating have been constructive and therefore positive.

But the queen of reviewers -imho- is Xeranthemum.

The above link will take you to the many various and comprehensive reviews Xeranthemum has written over an extended period of time, covering many genres.

Reviews are a massive part of the publishing industry and whether authors care to admit to it or not, reviews have impact.
Those well written are followed, while those that are simply a 'rant' and become obvious to readers the reviewer has either not read the book or is grinding a personal ax for some reason still wiegh in there.

There are ways and ways of writing an honest review.

And believe me writing a review about a book that does not grab you is VERY difficult to do well.  Xeranthemum's reveiws are masterful at describing, kindly, and positively why, a book does not work for her.

To learn more about her and how she constructs her reviews, visit her blog HERE

Believe me, there are many more wonderful reviewers out there, but today, giving the difficulty of finding something beginning with 'X',I chose to write about someone whose reviewing skill I admire immensely and still remain within the remit of the A-Z Challenge :-)

There are around 1700 participants this year and you'll find a list HERE

Wow--writing a good review is indeed an art. Xeranthemum sounds like a master at it! GREAT choice of X word, by the way :)

Wow, I'm truly flattered, Sherry!
Thank you!

As for pronouncing it, the X sounds more like a Z... zur-anthemum ...like chrysanthemum ...I guess a lot of folks have a conundrum with my flower so I been reduced to XR. lol

It's been a bit since I've posted but one of our other reviewers came up with a question and I'm working on the answer ...I love doing that.

Hope you have a terrific weekend!:-)
