This week I am posting six sentences from a Thanksgiving themed short story published a couple of years ago. Today's 'Six' is a continuation of yesterday's Sweet Saturday Sample
They’d met when he’d filled in when one of the regular photographers couldn’t make the shoot, and he'd not hidden his disdain. Why then had he asked her out for a drink afterwards? His broad shoulders, lean hips and tightly muscled body sent shivers up her spine every time she saw him and soon they became a couple. He filled her thoughts, and like a fool she’d dreamt of happy-ever-after. And then he’d met her twin, Alice. Before she could say ‘Boo-to-a-goose’, Alice had a ring on his finger and they’d left for America within a week of meeting.

Jilted lover! Now how will they fix this? :)
Aaaahh...Is it his or Alice's fault? Then again, it could be true love with Alice? Interesting.. and ref Angela's question....perhaps they could end up sharing him! ha ha :)
Intriquing / cool 6 Sherry
Ps still can't believe how many stories you've written...well done
Oh, no, tragic! Is the story how they get back together? But then what about her twin? Argh! I foresee much angst. (yay!)
Love the telling from a future point in time. Hope it leads to a happier ending for her!
Ohh, a man-stealing sister. Yep, that's a story in itself. ROFL.
Hmmm, certainly wonder where you're going with this one. You've got me wondering who can heal her broken heart.
boo to a goose! Great phrase!
Oh damn, betrayed by a guy AND a twin! I wouldn't want to be the next person to cross this woman!
Great snippet!
Yikes!! I was starting to like this guy, but he jilted her for her sister? So not right!
I'm always grateful not to have had siblings! But yeah, he's sort of a jerk to go from one sister to the other. Hope he either reforms or is not the hero. Great six, though. :)
Oh, wow. That ending was SO not what I expected! This one is a page turner for sure! :c)
Hey Sherry! Love the six! Hope you have a fantastic Sunday!
Ouch. Good set up for the rest of the story. :)
oh no....feel for her. But this is a terrific premise for a book. Enjoyed your six :)
Wow. Ouch. I think that the heroine might have some trust issues as a result. . . .
