New Year, New You, New Books

With the New Year upon us, grand celebrations and even bigger resolutions are on our minds. The New Year is supposed to symbolize “a fresh start”, yet I find that people are still making the same resolutions from years passed, like lose weight, get organized, quit drinking/smoking, and find love.

This had me thinking about my blog called Fire Pages, which dedicated to romance novels. After scrolling through older reviews on my site, I realized that I’ve been reading a lot of romance novels that focused on passion and lovemaking. That is fine and all, but passion is not the only type of love shared between people. And when that thought hit me, I became inspired.

For this New Year, my reading resolution is to read at least one novel in 5 different romance categories, so that I can expose myself to new authors and more variety in the romance genre. I encourage you to take this reading resolution with me, and to sweeten the pot, I am going to introduce you to Try Harlequin (http://www.tryharlequin.com)! This fantastic website was designed by Harlequin, and lets you download 16 novels in PDF format for FREE! What a fantastic way to read for free and accomplish my resolution!

Hey Zee

I love your plan for 2011 - I read right across the spectrum myself and I am constantly amazed when I meet a reader that only read one genre or one aspect of that genre...

I would go mad - I love to mix up my reading..

I have read quite a few of those books and they are wonderful - Romance Suspense is my first love and I love the lot you mentioned here..

Happy reading hon, let me know If you need a recommendation...

Happy New Year..

:)
